The Center for Philippine Arts Culture and Entertainment Association, Inc., organizers and producer of Amazing Show in Manila, Cebu and Boracay Island, with its headquarters at the Manila Film Center, Cultural Center of the Philippines Complex, Pasay City, is excited to announce the details of one of the components of next year’s Search for the Amazing Philippine Singing Star 2008, the singing contest.
This contest is designed to showcase the many vocally talented amongst us, and award those who are ranked the best.
The 2008 singing contest will be held at the Manila Film Center, Cultural Center of the Philippines Complex, Pasay City, in which competitors can register and show off their vocal skills. There will be ten (10) monthly elimination rounds at the Manila Film Center commencing on the 26th of January 2008 and every last Saturday of the month up to October. Contestants can apply and participate in the singing contest at the Manila Film Center, Cultural Center of the Philippines Complex, Pasay City or call (063) 8329866.
In order to take part in this contest, one must be a Filipino or a long time resident (minimum of a year) in the Philippines of any age and gender.
It is asked that only amateurs apply for the singing contest. Individuals receiving any form of compensation for singing or hosting of any musical activity may participate but should not be a signed talent in a recording/production outfit, must not have any pending arrangement in any talent management outfit.
The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place monthly winners will receive a cash prize of Php50,000; 30,000 and 20,000 respectively and plaque, and will receive a certificate of participation during the final round at the Search for an Amazing Singing Star 2008 by December of 2008.
The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners during the final round of the singing contest at the Search for an Amazing Singing Star 2008 will receive the appropriate trophy and Php200,000.00, 100,000.00, and 70,000.00 respectively. The contestant who wins 1st place will gain the title of the Amazing Philippine Singing Star 2008 Champion.
